MLK Kids Event | Saturday, January 14, 2023 | 10:30 am-12:30 pm | San Marcos Public Library

MLK Freedom Walk & Celebration | Monday, January 16, 2023

  • Wreath-laying & MLK Walk Check-in at 8:45 am | #Resistance DHA MLK T-shirts on sale, $25 each
  • Wreath-laying Ceremony | 9:30 am | Crossroads Memorial at the corner of LBJ & MLK streets
  • MLK Walk begins 10:00 am | We will walk from the Crossroads down MLK to Endicott, Endicott to San Antonio and end at the Historic Hays County Courthouse
  • Program at the Hays County Historic Courthouse 11:00 am (approximately) | 111 E. San Antonio St. San Marcos, TX 78666
  • MLK Reception and Exhibit | 12:00 pm | 801 MLK Dr. San Marcos, TX 78666 | Free food provided by Lil’ Lafayette 337, San Marcos Police Department, and snacks by the Center for Diversity and Gender Studies | Rare collectables and history on display.
