Registration deadline: January 9, 2026

Individuals need NOT register to walk.

The DHA San Marcos MLK Walk & Celebration will start with a wreath-laying ceremony at the LBJ/MLK Crossroads Memorial at 9:30 a.m. 

When: January 19, 2026, The walk begins immediately after the Wreath-laying ceremony.

Where: The walk originates at the corner of LBJ and MLK Streets at the Crossroads Memorial.

Immediately after the ceremony, there will be a silent walk through the Historic Dunbar neighborhood to the Historic Hays County Courthouse for a brief program and the keynote address. There will be a reception after the program.

Reception: Free food, drinks, and DJ!
