DHA Brings the Black History 101 Mobile Museum

This is a flier with information about the Dunbar Heritage Association's celebration of Black history, featuring the Black History 101 Mobile Museum on June 27, 2026. The public exhibit will take place at the San Marcos Public library starting at 10:00 a.m.

This year (2026) marks the centennial anniversary of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, established by Carter G. Woodson.

In recognition of this milestone, we plan to bring the Black History 101 Mobile Museum to San Marcos on June 27, 2026, as the culminating event of our Juneteenth celebrations.

The Black History 101 Mobile Museum’s dedication to preserving and promoting public education about Black history aligns well with DHA’s mission. For three decades, Dr. Khalid has traveled to more than 43 states, presenting the mobile museum at over 1,000 institutions, including libraries, universities, and public schools. We are proud and excited to bring this unique traveling exhibit to the San Marcos public for viewing.

The Dunbar Heritage Association (DHA) invites community involvement to bring the Black History 101 Mobile Museum to San Marcos, TX.
