Juneteenth is the oldest nationally-celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Under the leadership of the late Harvey Miller, DHA carries on 44 years of Juneteenth celebrations!

We are proud to honor Dr. King’s legacy and carry on the tradition for 21 years. We invite the San Marcos, Hays County, and surrounding communities to celebrate the federal Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on January 16, 2023 at the LBJ/MLK Crossroads Memorial, The Hays County Courthouse, and the Dunbar Recreation Center.
